What do I need?
2 months of time to attend piloting school
To become a pilot you’ll need to attend piloting school that last from 6-8 weekends. It consists of lectures and a practical part – where you actually get to sharpen your flying skills.
Pass a simple medical exam
In order to fly, you need to have a category 2 medical checkup. It’s the same one required to by law when attending driving school.
Be a least 16 years old
Before you can take the pilot’s exam, you need to be at least 16 years old.
Sign up and attend lectures
To become a pilot, you’ll have to sign up for lectures and attend them regularly.
Pilot school – lectures and theoretical knowledge
This part of your training includes lectures, some of which can be attended remotely.
GENERAL SUBJECTS:
1. Airplane regulations and ATC procedures
2. Human capabilities and limits
3. Meteorology
4.Radiotelephone communication
5. Navigation
SPECIFIC SUBJECTS:
1. Theory of flying
2. Operating procedures
3. Flight planning and performance
4. Getting to know a sport-recreational airplane
PILOT SCHOOL – THE PRACTICAL PART
The practical part of your training to be a pilot will be held under the careful supervision of a licensed instructor. You’ll be training on a real airplane – gyrocopter for 6 weeks, which includes a minimum of 30 hours spent flying. Of those:
1. 10 hours spent flying under the careful guidance of an instructor,
2. 6 hours of standalone flight with the guidance of an instructor from the ground
3. 60 flights, each one lasting a maximum of 30 minutes
